A New Venture

I was recently speaking to a friend who seemed to have reached the pinnacle of material success for her age and education level, having worked six months at one of the most high-profile companies in the United States. Traditional wisdom states that a high paying job at a prestigious corporate company will bring you an equal amount of joy and contentment. And yet, there was my successful friend asking me, “What is the point of working hard, making money, and being tired at the end of the day if it’s not for something you care about?”

I think we, as a society, have mistaken money and material success as the source of joy, rather than the value or meaning at the center which generates the numbers. Allow me to explain…
